CANBus <---> OPlotter <---> N2K
#1
Hi,

Need some advice on if I can connect a device that is CANBus enabled and use a CANBus and a N2K adapters on Openplotter to act as a gateway between the two?

There's an inverter / charger connected to an N2K network, but it doesn't support CANBus, only CANOpen / NMEA2000 and a battery management system that only supports CANBus. Is there a way to pass messages in both directions between CANBus and N2K and monitor them in Openplotter.

There is a Moitessier HAT installed on OpenPlotter, so PiCAN isn't an option without purchasing another Pi to instal it on.

Just want to make sure that Openplotter can pass messages in both directions between the bus types before I buy the adapters.

Thanks

Craig
