Looking for help or pointing in the right direction ?
PI5/Macarthur Hat all hardwired in vessel with - ST,I2C/1 Wire/NMEA 0183 all working (excellent piece of design once you get your head around it.)
I have struggled with Canbus/NMEA 2K for ages but finally got working but not sure if correct/doesn't seem right
The only way I can get an incoming connection to SignalK is to add the MCP251xfd to the PI5 Interface with Ip link set can0 .....
On re-boot I loose the interface, is this normal? I am assuming the MCP251xfd should be found on the SPI automatically at boot ?
I have tried to configure for the interface to be loaded at boot ie - /etc/network/interfaces without joy will be trying boot/config next but this to be honest is out of my depth.
Anyways virtual beer for anyone that can help or physical beer if you are around the Solent
