Failing to build.
#1
Hi. I'm still trying to successfully build tinypilot using the Git repository, I'm following the instructions in the wiki, but have difficulties.

Starting with lhe latest image from july 2024, and everything works fine (version 0.56). Attaching two logfiles from the build process. Maybe that's a place to start. I appreiciate any help.

Pi Zero W or other ?
Sean's image from July 2024 shows a version of tinypilot incompatible with some Raspberry Pi models, particularly the Pi Zero 2W and Pi 3+.

Stellian has created another image of version 0.46 with tinycore 13 which is compatible with other Raspberry Pis.
However, there is a difference in the configuration files. Stellian's image contains the configuration files corresponding to his boat with a single tuning profile.

I created another image by modifying Stellian's image to add Sean's configuration files and tuning profiles.

Pi Zero W. Bought as a ready made kit from Sean's store. I would prefer to use the unmodified code from Sean.

From your log files I am not sure what the error is.

Can you describe what you expected and what actually happens?

Similar problem here.

Trying to boot version 2024_07_17 on pi zero 2.
Writing image to SD card works fine.
But PI does not start up.

I expect the appearance of the PyPilot image (version 0.56?)
I get a blank screen with nothing.
I try to use the integrated HAT with the LCD + IMU.
PI does not boot up and so no wifi network appears.

Any suggestions very much appreciated.

For now it's back to the old version and the flickering / non-working LCD on the HAT.

Funny thing: works like a charm on Pi3 from 2015....

It is not booting on a pi zero 2 this is known.

I just completed sailing tests using a new image based on tinycore 16. This should fully support the zero 2, and pi 4/5 so I hopefully will release it in the next week or so if you can be patient.

Hi Sean,

Hello Sean,

Could you please check if the Pi Zero's Wi-Fi client configuration is working normally again?

Some friends described the source of the problem:

Thanks
