RPi5 OP4 IMU is detected
Several weeks ago I installed OP4 and had Pypilot working. However there were problems with the I2C service running and the OpenCPN Dashboard freezing. After numerous attempts to resolved the latter two I decided to reinstall OP4 on an different micros SD Card. The i2C and OpenCPN issues are resolved but now Pypilot isn't working. Apparently I'm not the only recent user to discover this problem, link here (Pypilot General Discussion).
Today I formatted a 3rd card and reinstalled OP4. Then I installed the necessary Apps in Settings followed by an update and upgrade.
Going to Openplotter and loading Pypilot I see:
pypilot version: No module named 'pypilot'
Detected IMU ICM-20948
Attempting to enable pypilot resuts in the App reverting to disabled
At the bottom of the Pypilot window is "All services disabled"
Running Pypilot from a Terminal I see
pi@openplotter:~ $ openplotter-pypilot
inactive
activating
inactive
inactive
Settings file not found. Using defaults and creating settings file
Detected ICM20948 at standard address
Using fusion algorithm RTQF
Is this a bug or have I missed a step? I still have the original working version of Pypilot
