O charts fingerprint file install permit

I have been trying for days in nightly sessions(19 hours now) to download charts that i purchased from chartworld into open cpn. Chartworld wants to help but keeps telling me to copy and paste a link that doesn't work. I have downloaded Filezilla to be able to get the ftp protocol charts and keys downloaded but my fingerprint file is hidden so I can't enter it into O charts to get my install permit. I have been trying to use AI but it keeps looping me through the same dead ends. I have all but given up and asked for my money back from chartworld but they don't seem to want to do that. At one point I actually had the user code, install permit and fingerprint file all in the S63 tab on open cpn but when i tried to download the charts an error message came up saying invalid user. I am in disbelief that it is this difficult to simply download purchased charts. I am not a computer scientist just a sailor wanting charts for Vanuatu, Solomons. PNG and Indonesia. Has anyone been through this and knows the work around? I don't know but think it has something to do with my laptop being new with windows 11 that refuses to work with ftp files.

I had a very similar experience when I started with O charts. The fingerprint installation step is one of those things that looks simple on paper but can be tricky in practice, especially if one file is even slightly misplaced. After a bit of trial and error (and re-reading the structure carefully), it became much easier.

You actually hit the finish line at one point when you had everything in the S63 tab, the "invalid user" error just means a tiny piece of data didn’t match what the server expected, likely due to a subtle Windows 11 permission block or an FTP glitch. Windows 11 hasn't completely "refused" FTP, but its built-in security features make it an absolute nightmare for handling raw FTP links.
