MacArthur Hat power supply

Hi, I have an 24 volt house battery bank and a dc to dc converter to drop down to 12 volts.

The SW connection comes from this dc-dc 12v supply, but I’m supplying the permanent supply from a 12 volt engine battery bank, but now I’m seeing my engine battery drain when sailing as it’s supplying the power to the rpi.

I’m only doing this to enable the shutdown option, as when I open the isolator is cuts the power to the dc-dc converter and therefore the SW input.

My question is can I supply the permanent connection on the MacArthur hat with 24 volts from my house bank??

And if so this supply 12 volts to the SW input??

The MacArthur HAT is designed for 12V systems. Connecting it to 24V will trip the over-voltage protection on the input, potentially damaging that part of the circuit.
