All is in the title ! I performed the OP uprade to 0.17 and after a few hours, AAAARG.... it finished with this lamentable "Signal K doesn't work" message
What a pain in the stomach !

recipe applies in this case, here it is :
The error comes from signalk.
Go to .config directory
Delete or rename signalk-server-node
git clone https://github.com/signalk/signalk-server-node.git
cd signalk-server-node
npm install
After a reboot everything falls working, but I don't understand why the bug is still alive !

I can not reproduce your error. I have done a correct update from 0.16.0 and from 0.10.0.
I am afraid this is not a bug, It seems like a failed update.

Same error reproduced when I updated (16 ->17) my backup SD card (server K doesn't start). Applying e-sailing recipe to try to solve the case !
EDIT : Yes ! re-installing SignalK did the work once more, now all seems OK :
