I have OpenPlotter version 8 running on RP3. In order to launch the weather routing plugin I do the following:
1 Download a grib file with ZyGrib
2 Open the downloaded grib file from OpenCPN using the Grib plugin
3 Set the start and end points with the Weather Routing plugin in OpenCPN
4 In the configuration menu of Weather Routing I choose new, select the boat and then I press Compute.
The problem is that after computing the route, the weather routing module gives a message stating that the version of the grib file is not acceptable and OpenCPN crashes. This problem did not occur with version 7.
