I accidentally fed my pypilot motor controller with 5V instead of 3.3V , Is it likely to be dead?
Thanks
Wouldn't worry about your motor controller unless you have other symptoms going on right now. What should receive 3.3V and now got 5V, can actually handle as much as 5.5V according to the datasheet. The 3V3 supply determines the voltage you are receiving back on your Pi's RxD pin. The Pi should receive 3V3 signals and might have received 5V signals temporarily, which would be bad news for your pi, but there's some protection built into the pi and in the motor controller electrical interface as well (R23, page 2).
Yes, it can handle and actually supports 5 volts for the data connection.

What did you actually connect 5 volts to?
I was trying to get pins off the top of my daisy hat and accidentally used the 5v pin.
I have since got it sorted. Thankfully it still works.
Thanks so much for your comments.
Cheers
