This has been quite the rewarding journey and nearing the point of having a custom setup to suit my needs.
I have just ordered a 15.6 inch 1000 nits touchscreen monitor with IP65 waterproof front panel from Sihovision.
Similar to what Jason "Techstyle" shows here :-

My experience with Sihovision has been very good.
I Paid with Paypal.
Quick build and delivery, about 2 weeks.
Packaging was excellent.
Monitor works well, as expected, no problems.
Came with more leads than I need.
Solidly built at about 4kg.
Hope to install in the boat in the next few weeks.
I will post updates as they come.
