MacArthur HAT production
Hi, is there any estimate when the KiCad files will be released?

We hope to stabilize the stock at the end of May so I think we will be able to publish the sources at the beginning of June.

I'd like to make one to hold my Pi and MacArthur hat as well, with cooling, and I'd be happy to share my 3D files with the community, or even print them off and ship them Smile

Maybe the file is not available but figured I'd check anyways. Thanks!

That sounds nice! We have added an step file to the github: https://github.com/OpenMarine/MacArthur-HAT

The RJ45 connector is not rendered due to some error but the rest is fine.

You can view the file rendered here: https://3dviewer.net/#model=https://gith...AT-3D.step

Please keep us updated on any progress.

Hey there, I'll give it a try on my end too.

First question :  As seen on below screen

It seems its missing a pin header similar to this :

Is it planned to come with a pin header? If yes do you know the height? Thanks

The MacArthur HAT will come with 16mm hex stand-offs, and a "double-shrouded" stacking header similar to these:
https://thepihut.com/products/stacking-h...all-header

The HAT will more or less sit right on top of the USB connectors. The production version of the HAT won't have any protruding pins under the RJ45 connector.
Hi. I'm very excited, just got my 1.2 Hat Smile
One thing, the provided extra tall pin header isn't tall enough. Is it the tallest, or can I buy one with longer pins?
If not, any other suggestion? Frustrating not to be able to use the RSP5 pinns when the Hat is on.
Thank you all for this amazing product and all the effort you all contribute to this project.

What do you mean by "isn't tall enough"? Do have a picture to illustrate the problem?

Hi. When trying to connect connectors tonthe pinn Therese is not enough length for the to grip. I got one raiser with long pins and two with shorter pins. I thought the where the same but one of the shorter gripped earlier than the other, so now I got good length. Saw this problem in a video 1 year ago I belive.
All good now.
